You can find out whether you appear in the court system, when your next hearing is scheduled, and how many days have passed since filing Form I-589 using the following methods:
1. Online
Enter your A-Number on the official EOIR website:
https://acis.eoir.justice.gov/en/
If you are in the court system, you will see your A-Number, the date your case was added (Docket Date), and the court address.
If a hearing has been scheduled, the hearing date and judge’s name will be displayed.
If you are not in the system, you will see the message No case found for this A-Number.
If you experience technical issues:
- copy and paste the A-Number manually;
- if the site does not open on Android, try an iPhone or a computer;
- close the tab and reopen the link;
- disable VPN and automatic translation.
2. By phone
EOIR automated system phone number: 1-800-898-7180
Follow these steps:
- press 1, then press 1 again;
- enter your A-Number;
- press 1 (your name will be spelled out);
- press 1 (date your case entered the system).
You can then select:
- 1 — next hearing date;
- 2 — EAD clock;
- 3 — court decision information;
- 4 — appeal information.
3. Through the Immigration Court
You may also call your immigration court directly using the official EOIR court list and request information from the court clerk.
How to check your USCIS case status
If you filed your form online, all information is available in your USCIS online account.
If you filed by mail, you must wait for Form I-797. Without a receipt number, tracking is not possible. In some cases, notices take several months.
After receiving Form I-797, you can check your case status at:
https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do
Enter the receipt number listed on Form I-797C.
If no receipt notice is received within 60 days after delivery, you may contact USCIS Lockbox Support:
<
91>lockboxsupport@uscis.dhs.gov
If 90 days pass without a response, you may contact the DHS Ombudsman’s Office:
