BIOMETRICS APPOINTMENT. What to do if you missed it?

It does not matter how you filed your application or which form you submitted. Missing a biometrics appointment is important, but it is not fatal.

First, you should try to reschedule the appointment as soon as possible. To do this, contact the USCIS Contact Center at +1-800-375-5283, via online chat, or submit an online request. Everything depends on the officer you reach: they may reschedule immediately or tell you to wait.
The second option is to wait until USCIS schedules a new biometrics appointment and make sure you do not miss it.

Why is this important?

Missing biometrics causes the employment authorization clock to stop.

That is why it is crucial not to miss biometrics, and if you already did, to try to reschedule as soon as possible.
